I need to get a website, how much will it cost?
The cost of your website will depend on how large it is and the features that are required. Please call us on (07) 5511 1104 to discuss your website and once we have a better understanding of your needs we will be able to provide you with a written quote. My website is broken, help!
If your website was built by Instyle IT then please contact us immediately to resolve the issue. If your website was developed by a third party, please contact them in relation to the error. Instyle IT is not responsible for supporting websites that we have not built.
Domain Names
What is a domain name? Do I need a domain name?
A domain name is the unique name that identifies an Internet site, e.g. instyleit.com.au. Every hosting account must be associated with a domain name so that your website can be viewed.
Does Instyle IT sell domain names?
Yes. You may purchase a domain name by credit card and your new domain name will be instantly available.
Can I host more than one domain name per account?
All web hosting accounts are configured to host only one domain name. Domain Pointers or Addon domain names are available for an additional fee.
Web Hosting
What are the setup fees and monthly costs involved?
Instyle IT account setup is free and there is no monthly administration fees. All you pay for is your yearly web hosting fee.
Can I upgrade my account at any time?
Yes, you can upgrade your account at any time.
Is there a minimum time contract/commitment required?
No contracts are required. All accounts are paid yearly in advance. There are absolutely no cancellation fees.
What currency are the prices in?
All prices listed are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
How fast are accounts set up?
Instyle IT strives for a setup time of less than 24 hours. If an order is placed during normal business day hours, orders may be processed in less than 2 hours.
Does my website get a control panel?
Yes. Every Instyle IT web hosting package comes with a web browser based control panel. The control panel includes many features including; email configurations, chat rooms, mailing lists, pre-installed cgi scripts, databases, chat rooms, and much, much, more...
What happens if I decide to leave Instyle IT
Instyle IT values all our customers. We strive to give the greatest customer service available on the Internet, if you feel that you have not received such service with Instyle IT please let us know. You are free to leave at any time without any cancellation charges. Refunds are not given on unused portions of web hosting accounts.
What are the hardware specs of the servers?
Every server at Instyle IT has different specifications. Whenever a server reaches what we feel to be the limit, another server is built. Instyle IT is constantly upgrading the server hardware on our network. If more drive space, memory, or faster processors are needed, they are added in at that time. The average shared server is a QUAD XEON processor system, with 4048MB RAM, and RAID hard drive(s). All Instyle IT servers run spare hard drives for backup requirements.
What if I want to upgrade my hosting account?
You may upgrade or downgrade your Instyle IT web hosting package at any time. You will be required to pay the difference in the plan you are upgrading to, should you decide to choose a larger plan. You will then pay the new monthly fee for the new account package that you select. No refund will be given for a downgrade for moneys paid in advance.
What is the uptime?
Instyle IT strives to maintain a 99.5% network and server uptime service level. This uptime percentage is a monthly figure, and is is calculated solely by Instyle IT monitoring systems or Instyle IT authorized/contracted outside monitoring services. If Instyle IT fails to meet it's 99.5% uptime guarantee, and it is not due to one of the exceptions listed in the service agreement, credits will be made available to each client, upon request, on a case by case basis. Instyle IT does not credit a full month's service for minor downtime. This would not be financially healthy for Instyle IT, and in turn would only negatively affect the service level Instyle IT provides to you. 'Partial refunds for partial downtime' is our standard policy. In extreme circumstances, Instyle IT may distribute full month credits, but this is dealt with on a case by case basis.
What is your connectivity to the Internet?
Instyle IT provides reliable, scalable solutions for customers of all sizes and services. Located in the carrier-neutral Equinix Chicago Data Center, Instyle IT has access to all the major carriers in Chicago. Refer to our network page for further details.
How is extra bandwidth billed?
Accounts that require extra bandwidth must upgrade to a higher hosting package. If this is not done before the monthly limit is reached then the user account may be suspended.

Does my website have it's own IP number or is it shared?
Traditionally all Instyle IT hosting packages come with a shared IP address. If you require a dedicated IP address, please contact us.
Advantages of a dedicated IP
The only real reason why someone would want to have a dedicated IP would be to use their own SSL certificate and to be able to use anonymous FTP.
